Alex is a composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Brighton, UK who has been writing and performing music for over 15 years. With a mix of classical training and background in pop, rock and more experimental styles, Alex uses his broad range of skills to create a unique palette, specialising in organic/acoustic sounds. As well as solo composing, Alex regularly assists composers, providing additional production for their award winning scores.
With clients including Universal, Banijay, Endemol Shine, The National Theatre and Universal, Alex’s music is frequently used on primetime TV on such channels as BBC (Masterchef, Top Gear), ESPN, Channel 4 and NBC.
As a live performer and recording artist Alex has toured the world with a variety of live acts. He has taught saxophone, cello, and guitar in a number of institutions, also directing youth ensembles and running workshops for youth orchestras. In 2010 he co-founded an experimental DIY record label, which has over 50 releases to its name.
